Raise the data transfer speed on your MP3 Player!



There are a few types of protocols to connect an MP3 Player to a PC, including MTP(Media Transfer Protocol) which is slower and UMS(USB Mass Storage Protocol), which is faster and works on all operating systems.

The MP3 Players are delivered wiht the MTP because this protocol is safer. UMS is recommended if you don’t need to transfer write-protected data, but it raises the speed up to 50%.

For example at Cowon iAudio 6 you can change between MTS and UMS through Settings->General->USB Connections.

For other types of MP3 Players you can do this change in the „Settings” menu.

Now you will guaranteed have a great data transfer speed!
