![]() When you add a new hard disk to the computer it may not be recognized by XP even you installed it correctly. Here you have the best solution! The hard disk will not be found in My Computer because it hasn’t been formated or partitioned yet. To resolve this problem go to Control Panel->Administrative Tools->Computer Management->Disk Management. Here you will see the HDD as „Disk1”. Right-click on it and press „Initialize disk”. Activate the black tab clicking on it and then click-on „New Partition”. Create a „Primary Partition” and format it using NTFS or FAT32. Click „Finish” and now you have a new working hard disk...after restarting the PC.
